John Panus is a senior English major at SUNY Geneseo with interests in African American literature, biopolitics and the neoliberal subject, and children’s literature.  At Geneseo, he is a captain of the varsity cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field teams.  Additionally, he serves as the Academic Chair for Geneseo’s charter of Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society, and works as a tutor and as the student director for the Geneseo Writing Learning Center.  Ultimately, he wishes to pursue a PhD in English literature and someday work as an English professor at a small liberal arts institution like Geneseo.  Outside of school, he enjoys Pixar movies, fishing, camping, and traveling the country for cross country/track meets.
